Why Cosmetic Surgery

By Clare Eisenman Cosmetic surgery has been a growing market since decades. It allows us to change our look. We are a vain society, and as such we place a great deal of emphasis on physical attractiveness. While becoming physically attractive usually isn't a major life goal, many people strive to look and feel their best at all times. They do this by eating healthy, exercising, and using beauty products. Sometimes, though, perceived physical flaws keep people from feeling good about themselves. When this is the case, cosmetic surgery can be the answer. Different areas of the body can benefit from cosmetic surgery and people elect to have cosmetic surgery for many reasons. Some are severe, like to mask a birth defect. Others are trivial, such as the reduction of age lines in the forehead and around the eyes. But no matter the reason, cosmetic surgery has one goal: To make one feel better about their appearance. Many will consider cosmetic surgery for their face to soften lines and wrinkles or to improve the shape of their nose. The stomach, breasts, legs and buttocks are also popular cosmetic surgery targets. The truth of the matter is that there are some physical changes that can only be brought about through cosmetic surgery. All the makeup and shading in the world will not make a woman feel better about her nose if she feels it is too large. And skin just keeps continuing to show signs of aging as the years go by if you do not do something to intervene. But do you have to do something as drastic as cosmetic surgery to get the results you desire? You are the only one who knows the answer that question, but it is true that cosmetic surgery is cheaper, safer, and more available today than it has been in the past. For these reasons many women who never thought they would are electing to have cosmetic procedures done so that they can feel better about the way they look. Clare Eisenman runs a web site about Cosmetic Plastic Surgery where she covers various topics like Dangers of Liposuction, Rhinoplasty Nose Job. Weddings - Wedding Plan - Wedding Planner Tools - Ten Essential Tips

By Tom Downward Getting Married? Congratulations! You just set the date for the most important day in your life. Your wedding day. Imagine...It is your wedding day. Your very own wedding day! It will be fun. Here are ten essential steps that will make the preparation fun too. 1. Keep within your financial limits. Budget your wedding. You do not want to start your married life in debt. If you are organized have a plan and are creative, whatever your budget, a "wedding to remember" will be yours. 2. Now Visualize. Thats right, visualize. Close your eyes and look at the tasks at hand. The list may SEEM overwhelming but it isn't. 3.Don't try to do everything all at once. Start by gathering information. Use the Net to gather ideas from around the world. Make an extensive list of "things you LIKE", "things you WANT" and "things you MUST HAVE" (see the difference?) 4. Now you are ready to make a Top Ten (or top eleven or twelve) list. 5. Break your list it into small manageable portions that you can successfully accomplish. Use categories like... Before the wedding - During the wedding - After the wedding. 6. Now use sub categories. Include ideas for related events such as, showers, receptions, and honeymoon. 7. It is YOUR wedding. It reflects YOU. No one should dictate to you what to do and how to do it. You may seek advice, ideas and wisdom but in the end each final decision is yours. 8. What this means is don't be shy! Accept assistance when offered and solicit involvement, help and ideas from those you believe will be an asset. 9.Add your personal touches. For example; if you have children you may consider making them an important part of your wedding. 10. Pick a few aspects of your wedding and make them personalized. A personal touch makes a wedding meaningful to the bridal couple, their attendants, family and all invited guests. In summary, your wedding is a serious moment for declaring your love and commitment to each other. Make your wedding truly a one-of-a-kind event. Fill it with cherished moments and keepsakes. Whether you choose a favorite theme, a special setting or an intimate gathering of friends and loved ones, enjoy the journey. Perhaps, the memories and keepsakes may stay with you forever. Treasure them! And may you have a Happy, Happy day! Copyrights Tom Downward of weddingsrfun.com.com

The Best Aftershaves Around

By John Gibb Seeking to find the best aftershave for your needs is possibly as hard as trying to pick up the correct car to buy; with a small difference of course: if you mess up, you just loose a 2-digit dollar amount, not a whole fortune! This certainly doesnt imply that you shouldnt be careful about what aftershave to pick. In order to help you we have compiled a list with some of the finest aftershaves on the market. A very common aftershave is the Nivea for Men After Shave Balm Fresh Cooling. This aftershave is enriched with Menthol and Vitamins. It gently refreshes, soothes and conditions the skin right after you have been shaved. It contains a non greasy balm witch can be absorbed very easily in your skin. As a result, your skin is left revitalized, supple and smooth. Finally, the balm helps protect your faces skin against inflammations or irritations. This aftershave is possibly one of the cheapest and simultaneously most effective ones. Another very popular aftershave is the Gillette after shave gel. Apart from all the common characteristics among aftershaves, this particular one boasts a really cheap price and a very refreshing and cool experience on your skin! Jumping on the category of aftershaves that have designer names on them we will find a pretty popular aftershave by Hugo BOSS. This is a 3.4 oz aftershave balm with a pretty attracting perfume. Although the price is composed of a 2 digit number, it is quite affordable considering its an aftershave with a fashion designers name on it. The next fashion house aftershave is Calvin Klein escape. Coming from one of the worlds leading fashion houses this particular aftershave has a very distinct perfume. Regarding the price, contrary to what you might have thought a first this is not a very expensive aftershave. Of course, its price is nowhere close to the Nivea or the Gillette above in the list but then again, thats why it boasts a very unique perfume. Along the same lines as escape come a few aftershaves by Giorgio Armani, Gucci and other major fashion houses . The perfumes of course are very distinct too and the prices are very close to each other. The truth is that there are more than 200 aftershaves available on the market and as you can easily see its way too hard to have a complete image of whats worth it and whats not. In most of the cases you should simply stick with what serves you best. John Gibb is the owner of aftershave guides

Umbrellas for Children

By Gary Wells Does your child need an umbrella? That may seem like an odd question, but if your kids arent walking in the rain to get somewhere important, like school or the library, they may not need an umbrella at all. Some boisterous young ones turn umbrellas into battle weapons; so first decide whether an umbrella will truly be needed before purchasing one. If your child will need an umbrella for walking trips in rainy weather, get one that doesnt have metal spokes sticking out at the end. These, when blown by the wind or poked by a child, can lead to eye or facial injuries. Look for round plastic ends that are relatively harmless. Your child will be better able to manage a small-size umbrella, one that is designed for children. There are sizes for preschoolers, and a larger size for school-age children, and finally, full-size or even oversize umbrellas for adults. Getting your son or daughter the correct size of umbrella will allow them to manage it better, especially on windy or blustery days. A smaller size will be easier to store, as well, especially at school where it may need to remain open while drying. Try to find an umbrella with an easy-to-open spring. This can be operated by the push of a button, but teach your little ones how to point the umbrella away from their faces when pushing the button to avoid getting hurt. Be careful about the push-up kind of handle where the spring must be slid up the center rod before it will open the fan of protective vinyl. Small fingers can get caught and pinched in this type of mechanism. Show children how to carefully fold up and close the umbrella without hurting themselves. A handle with a hook, like a J, is another helpful feature for kids who may hang them up on coat hooks in their school lockers or on Sunday school pegs. Depending on your childs age, you may want to select a color or pattern that will seem fun to use; otherwise, the new umbrella may sit unused in a coat closet unless your child views it as an interesting or attractive accessory to their outdoor wear. Its also a good idea to show kids how to hold and carry their umbrellas. For example, if a strong gust of wind should blow it out of their hand and into the street, remind them not to run after it without first looking both ways. In fact, it may be better, depending on the childs age and normal traffic conditions on the route he or she will be walking, to advise him or her to disregard the umbrella, since it is always easier to replace one than an injured child. Even though many of us give little thought to choosing or using an umbrella, kids may look it at a little differently, even considering it a type of adult gear. So help your kids pick a fitting device that will be easy to use as well as efficient in keeping them dry. For more information about umbrellas, visit The Umbrella Site. What Are You Really Afraid Of?

By Joyce Averils For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11 I recently presented my Are You Ready to Start Living Your Dreams? workshop for a group of women. At the end of the session, a workshop participant came up to speak with me. She shared that God had placed it on her heart to start a ministry for single moms but she just couldnt move forward. I listened for a few minutes as she laid out her vision for her ministry its name, mission, where it would be located and other strategic matters. Once she finished speaking, I had just one question for her, What are you really afraid of? It was clear from our conversation that this young woman had prayed and God had answered her prayers, yet she was stuck. Its not uncommon that as you identify your purpose and want to move forward in fulfilling your destiny, doubt shows up in the form of fear. It can be the fear of failure, success, self-doubt or something else. Whatever form it comes in, fear can have you second-guessing yourself Did I really hear from God? If God has given you a dream and you want to accomplish it, remember His promise in Jeremiah 29:11. He would not place a dream, mission or purpose in your heart, if He was not going to equip you to carry it out. Part of Gods equipping is to help you through any fear that may be holding you back from moving forward and your ultimate success. You are Gods beloved, His chosen one. If you depend on Him to help you reach your dreams, He is able to take away all fear. Action Challenge for You Answer the question: What am I really afraid of thats stopping me from moving forward in Gods plans for my life? Next, decide what youre going to do about it. Then take action! 2007 Joyce M. Averils Joyce Averils has been walking with the Lord for over twenty years. She serves as a church school teacher and a youth mentor at her church. Finding Creative Resources for Your Church

By Jason Lehman Creative resources for churches come in all shapes and sizes. There are resources for just about every type of church style and service style there is including image backgrounds for your PowerPoint slides, lyric sheets and chord charts for worship songs and video clips and illustrations for use in messages. The key is for you to look for resources that are in keeping with your church’s worship style and ministry philosophy. Resources that will work well in one church might not work well in others. Therefore, keep in mind what types of service elements your congregation will respond to and search for those. If your worship service is geared more toward a contemporary or postmodern style, you might consider looking for creative resources that keep your congregation’s attention such as newer upbeat music, countdowns to use before services, interview style video clips, or worship motion backgrounds to use behind your songs and messages. Creative service orders and service planning tools might also be worth looking into. Services that are more traditional in nature would benefit from resources that are more liturgical in nature such as special readings, sacred music, image backgrounds for songs and scriptures. There are ample resources for both of these types of service styles. The internet is always a great place to find resources. A simple Google search will give you hundreds of places to find what you are looking for. Sites that offer more than just the product you are looking for, such as free samples, are good because you can try them out before buying. It is also helpful to search for blogs and worship forums. It gives you a place to view questions and comments as well as ask your own questions. An alternative to searching the web would be to make some phone calls to local worship leaders to get their opinions on what are the best resources to use for worship. This helps you in two ways. First, it gives you an opportunity to ask what types of resources are genuinely helpful and second, it gives you a sounding board for future questions and ideas you might have for your ministry. Once you have found some resources that you think will work for your church, it can be helpful to send the company an email to tell them about your ministry and then ask them any questions about what they offer. He is also the publisher of http://www.leadingworship.com; a worship resource provider that specializes in providing tools for preparing creative worship services. Do All Las Vegas Wedding's Have To Be Tacky?

By Marilyn Taylor Lets face it. Most people think Las Vegas wedding is a synonym of tackiness. But in reality, it couldnt be further from the truth. To prove my point, Id like to talk about one of the lesser known Las Vegas wedding packages you can have. The kind of package Im talking about is the outdoor package. These wedding packages allow you to get married in some of the most beautiful places in the world. One Las Vegas outdoor wedding location you must consider is the Valley of Fire. In case youre not familiar with the Valley of Fire, let me clue you in. The Valley of Fire is a beautiful and haunting area in Overton, Nevada. Its made of eroded sandstone, and sand dunes which are very old. Were talking over 150 million years old. Theres also a lot of red limestone, which is how it got its name. Now unless you bring an Elvis impersonator with you to this location, theres no way a wedding set here can be tacky. In my opinion anyway. Another popular outdoor Vegas wedding is the Mt. Charleston package. This wedding would take place on the mountain, at up to 8,000 foot high. As you can probably guess, this would provide you with some amazing views. You can even have a professional quality DVD filmed of your wedding, so you can capture the experience forever. Maybe some people would think a wedding on Mt. Charleston is tacky, but personally, I think it would be incredible. Its also much cooler (around 30 degrees usually) than getting married in Vegas. Mt Charleston is one of the one breathtakingly beautiful places in Las Vegas, if not the entire world. Where better to get married? Another outdoor package wedding you could choose is the grand canyon helicopter wedding. This wedding would take place inside a helicopter flying over the grand canyon. Now maybe this could be a little tacky, but it certainly sounds a lot more interesting than the traditional white wedding! So in conclusion, Id just like to say that not all Las Vegas weddings have to be tacky. Theres also lots of other options which can turn out to be the most fun and exciting wedding you could ever imagine. I hope this will give you some food for thought when considering what type of wedding youd like to have. Marilyn Taylor is the owner of the Las Vegas Wedding Blog, where she talks about

Preparing your Teenager for the Prom

By Kamau Austin The time has come your teenager has waited for all of their lifeprom night. It will be a night of fun and enchantment, and a time they will never forget. These are some useful tips to help your teenager get ready for the big night. Tip #1: Plan your budget accordingly. Prom night will probably not be a cheap occasion. Shop around for a dress or a tux. Look for sales and deals. However, you want your teen to look his or her best, so let them pick out the clothes. However, set a limit and be clear about it. It is possible to look good without spending a lot of money. Tip #2: Talk to your teen about what to expect. Tell them what your prom night was like. Tell them what type of things they can expect to take place at the prom such as pictures, crowning of the king and queen, and dancing. Make sure they have enough money with them in case there is a charge for pictures, entrances, or dinner. Tip #3: Set the rules. You need to communicate what you expect from your teen on prom night. Let them know what time you expect them to be home and that you will not tolerate any bad behavior. Setting a curfew is not a bad thing. No doubt about it, the prom is a special occasion. Therefore, a special curfew is in order. Discuss the after prom options with your teenager and use them to decide the curfew. If after prom is an all night lock-in, thats even better. If there is a private party at a home, call the parents of the teenager who is hosting. Tell your teen that it is ok to say no to sex, drugs, and alcohol if these options arise. Tell them that prom night is a very special night that they will always remember, and they do not want to ruin it with drugs, sex or alcohol. Tip #4: Trust your teenager. This is their special night and they want to make it a special memory. This is one of the last parties they will have with their high school friends before graduation. Show them that you trust them. If you show nervousness or anxiety, it will only turn their special night into something bad. Tip #5: Take lots of pictures. Even though your teen may protest, both will both want those pictures later. There are several ways that you, as a parent, can help out at the prom. You can be a chaperone, you can serve drinks or dinner/snacks, or you can chauffeur. Your teen may be a little reluctant about your help, but assure them that you are not doing it to spy on them but because you would like to be a part of their special night. Tell them that parents like to have fun to, and that the prom can be something for both of you to remember. However, if your teen is absolutely against you being at the prom or helping out, just back off. Forcing yourself into the night will create hard feelings. You can help your teen get ready for his/her special prom night by following the suggested tips. Make it a special night for you and for them. Kamau Austin is publisher of
